RedOffice - Manual Install

RedOffice is an add-in to the Microsoft Office suite of applications that interacts with TechnologyOne Enterprise Content Management (ECM), an electronic document and records management solution from TechnologyOne.

OVERVIEW
RedOffice is an add-in to the Microsoft Office suite of applications that interacts with TechnologyOne Enterprise Content Management (ECM), an electronic document and records management solution from TechnologyOne.
The add-ins are provided in two formats depending on your Microsoft Office version:
  • 32-bit – RedOffice.Install.Office32.msi
  • 64-bit – RedOffice.install.Office64.msi
Installation of the Add-ins can be completed manually by running the MSI directly or can be deployed utilising automated installation methods. Both are described in this document.
Note: Installation of RedOffice will require administrator rights for the target machine

PREREQUISITES
RedOffice requires the following software prerequisites:
  • Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows 10
  • Microsoft .NET 4.7 and above
  • Microsoft Office 2010 and above
    • Microsoft Office 2010 sites will also require the Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime

MANUAL INSTALLATION
The Office add-ins can be installed on client machines by running the appropriate MSI
  • RedOffice.Install.Office32.msi for Microsoft Office 32-bit installations
  • RedOffice.Install.Office64.msi for Microsoft Office 64-bit installations

Double click on the appropriate MSI file to run the installation wizard

Click Next.

Enter or browse for the folder to install the add-in module files.
Disk Cost simply shows how much space is available and required for the installation.
Choose “Just me” to install the add-ins for the current user only (default) or “Everyone” to install the add-ins for all users that log onto the machine.

The wizard will show a progress bar while the add-ins install.

The add-ins files have been installed and registry entries set successfully.

If any issues occur, then it will show an error. If the error cannot be resolved, then contact Redman Solutions support.
