Version a document in Office
Open an ECM Document for Editing
1. Click open document from the ECM ribbon or click on the open folder icon on the document information pane. Note it will have a different label within each application (see below).
Word | Open Document |
Excel | Open Workbook |
Project | Open Project |
PowerPoint | Open Presentation |
Visio | Open Drawing |
2. Type in the Document Set ID.
3. Click search.
4. Select the document.
5. Click ok.
When the document opens select check out on the ECM Document Information pane.
The status bar will change to red.
You can now edit the document as required.
5. To save the latest edited document back into ECM (as a new version) select check in from the ECM document information.
