For Councils that run meetings back to back, it is important that the attendees leave the first meeting so they are able to join the next one.
QuestionWhy can't meeting attendees join a meeting?
We completed one meeting and then started the following meeting, though some attendees were not able to log in to the second meeting.
Answer
Meeting attendees are required to leave the first meeting before they are able to join the next meeting.
The Process
The Meeting Administrator can check whether all members have left the first meeting by going to the Minutes view of that meeting > MEMBERS section, to review the Joined Meeting status and ensure all members have left the meeting.
Meeting Members
Meeting members logged into Boardview, should select the AGENDAS tab at the bottom of the screen and then select the LEAVE MEETING button on the current meeting.
Once all of the members have left the first meeting, the Meeting Administrator can navigate to the second meeting, to allow members to join, if not already enabled.
Meeting attendees logged into Boardview will see the second meeting JOIN MEETING button, allowing them to join.
To speed this process up, we recommend the Meeting Administrator to have the second meeting open in a different tab of your browser.
