Resolve - BoardView Submit Alternate Motion

How BoardView users can submit an Alternative Motion through the portal

Prerequisites:

1. Councillor or Committee member with access to the councillor portal (https://CLIENTNAME.civicclerk.com.au/boardview/) and permissions to view required meeting types.

2. Resolve configured to enable 'Alternative Motion' feature submission through BoardView.

If unsure, contact your Governance or Meeting Administrator team.

To submit an Alternate Motion from BoardView:

  • Login to BoardView and navigate to the required Meeting Agenda as per normal
  • Under the Agendas tab, locate the required Item and click to view

  • Once viewing the Item, a Submit Alternate Motion button will be visible in the top right corner of the page, see below.

  • Click this to open a new window like below.

  • The existing Motion text will be seen and can be amended with your proposed changes.
  • When done, click the Submit button.

Once submitted, this will be visible to the Meeting Administrator in the Resolve Admin portal Minutes area for the related meeting and Item.  The Administrator can then apply the Alternate Motion in the minutes as appropriate.
