Resolve is moving to a new stream platform to bring new features and improvements.
This includes:
-Automatic Closed Captioning for Recordings
-Improved Scalability
-Improved Reliability
-Bookmarks supported on the live stream
-Playback resolution and speed Options
Using the new platform:
When streaming with the new platform there are a few key differences:
1. You will need to make sure the Stream is selected in the new drop-down field on the Event page.
Example(Value will be different for each client):
2. You will not be required to hit "Set event live" In resolve.
Instead, Resolve will prepare the Server 10minutes before the Start Time of an Event. This then allows it to be ready to capture the Stream. When you start your Streaming Application, this will automatically start the live event in Resolve.
Best practice is to send a still image at the start and then swap to Cameras and Audio when you're ready.
3. After a meeting videos may take longer a little longer generate.
This is due to saving the stream in multiple file formats and resolutions. Once files are ready, they will automatically be available on your public Portal
