Resolve - Display Page Best Practice

To get the most out of this tool, this article provides brief tips on best practice for Display Page preparation and use

Prerequisites:

  • If not already configured, see article Resolve - Display Page Setup or get assistance from Redman Solutions Helpdesk.
  • You will typically be a Meeting Administrator with access to the Resolve Admin portal (https://CLIENTNAME.civicclerk.com.au/admin/) and appropriate permissions to view the Minutes area.
  • The relevant meeting Agenda needs to be "published" to the BoardView (Councillor portal), to make it available to be displayed.

The Display Page is used to present meeting content, such as current Item Recommendation, Motion & Vote outcome and Speaker details, on a big screen in the Council chambers.  In preparation, the Minute taker opens the Display page on a separate browser screen for visibility of what is currently on show.  Below are some best practice tips to help the Minute taker.

Pre-meeting

  • To open the Display Page, you'll need to be logged into the Resolve Admin portal.  If not, login as per normal in your first browser session.
  • Open a second browser session (InPrivate/Incognito) or use a completely different Browser type (e.g. If using Chome for Minute taking, use Edge for the Display screen)
  • In the second browser, navigate to Display Page using -  https://CLIENTNAME.civicclerk.com.au/Boardview/Display (Bookmark in your browser to get to quickly next time)

During Meeting

  • In Display Page browser session, use F11 to make the display "full screen"
  • Change page zoom setting to between 60-80% (67% is a good starting point), to provide the best view of content, depending on your chamber's screen size.

Tip:  Do NOT adjust zoom while Item content is being displayed, this may cut off text if lots of detail is being displayed.  If you do happen to adjust zoom, refreshing the browser page will make all content visible again.

  • To change zoom settings, you can use CNTL key + Mouse wheel (up or down) or use zoom options under your browsers setting menu, see below (Chrome).
  • With your mouse active on the Display page browser window, the mouse wheel can be used to scroll down the visible content when required.
