Resolve - Event Live Stream Process

This guide details on how to set an event as live and stream to Resolve

Setting up the Event:

Firstly navigate to the Event

In here, confirm the Event is set to "Published" so it will be viewable on the Public portal, that the time is set correctly and the correct stream is selected.

Now this is set, 10 minutes before the Event date and time, The Streaming Server will be started ready to receive your stream

You cannot send a stream to Resolve without the server running. This can be started automatically or manually.

Streaming to Resolve:

When you are ready to start streaming to Resolve:
Navigate to the Event - Live Meeting at the top right or from the start menu of minutes section.
Here you will see the;

  • scheduled start time of the meeting

  • Scheduled start time of the streaming server
  • and the current status of your streaming server

At the Scheduled start time the server will start, and you can use the refresh button to check the status

It should take 30 to 60 seconds to start.

If you need it to start earlier or it hasn't started you can click the start streaming server button.

Once started, you now just need to start streaming from your Livestream Application to the Resolve Server with the Stream URL, Key and Authentication details provided.

The stream will now show on the Event in the Public Portal for users to watch.

When the meeting is finished, stop your Livestream application and wait a few minutes before clicking the "End Live Event" button in Resolve

Once ended, a recording of the stream will generate and upload few minutes later as well as auto-generated Closed captioning
